Conte: video conferenza con il Presidente Bozkir

Roma – Il Presidente Conte ha avuto questa sera un colloquio in video conferenza con il Presidente della 75ma sessione dell’Assemblea Generale delle Nazioni Unite, Volkan Bozkir. Al centro del colloquio i principali temi globali della 75ma UNGA e gli importanti impegni internazionali dell’Italia nel 2021 come Presidenza del G20, partner della Gran Bretagna nella COP26 e co-organizzatrice con la Commissione Europea del Global Health Summit. Il Presidente Conte ha ribadito il forte sostegno dell’Italia al multilateralismo e al sistema delle Nazioni Unite in quanto strumenti fondamentali per affrontare le sfide globali come il COVID-19 e le sue conseguenze socio-economiche in particolare nei Paesi più fragili.

Prime Minister Conte had a conversation tonight via VTC with the President of the 75th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations, Volkan Bozkir. The agenda was focused on the main global issues addressed by the 75th UNGA and on the important international events led by Italy in 2021, that is the Italian G20 Presidency, our partnership with Great Britain for COP26 and the co-hosting of the Global Health Summit together with the European Commission. Prime Minister Conte reiterated Italy’s strong commitment to multilateralism and to the UN system as fundamental tools to face global challenges such as COVID-19 and its socio-economic consequences, especially in the most vulnerable countries.
